SIMBIO
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how SIMBIO Gemba handles information when our team uses the application to prepare and manually publish original company content to social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Who this policy covers
SIMBIO Gemba is an internal content management and publishing application operated by Simbio Design Studio. It is used by authorised team members to draft, review, and manually publish brand-owned content to the social accounts they manage.
Information we process
When using Gemba, we may process the following categories of information:
- Account information needed to sign in to Gemba.
- Content created by authorised users, such as captions, hashtags, uploaded images, and publishing choices.
- Platform-specific publishing identifiers returned after a successful publish action.
- Operational logs used to diagnose publishing failures and maintain the service.
How social publishing works
Publishing from Gemba is user-initiated. A user prepares a post, explicitly selects the platform or platforms to publish to, reviews the content, and manually confirms the publish action for that specific post.
For Pinterest, the user must explicitly select Pinterest and choose the destination board before a Pin is created. Gemba is not designed to create engagement automation, follow or unfollow accounts, send messages, scrape content, or take actions without user knowledge and consent.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate the Gemba application and authenticate authorised users.
- Allow users to create, review, and manually publish original SIMBIO content.
- Store the minimum operational metadata needed to track publishing results and troubleshoot failures.
- Maintain the security, reliability, and auditability of the application.
Third-party platforms
When a user chooses to publish to Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest, the selected content is sent to that platform through its official APIs or authorised integrations. Once content is published there, it is also subject to that platform’s own terms, privacy practices, and retention policies.
Gemba uses the Pinterest API only for authorised, user-initiated publishing workflows. SIMBIO Gemba is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Pinterest.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information processed through Gemba. Information is shared with third-party social platforms only when an authorised user explicitly chooses to publish content to those platforms.
We do not resell, redistribute, or make available Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data to third parties.
Security and retention
We limit access to Gemba to authorised users and use operational safeguards appropriate for an internal business system. We retain content and publishing metadata only for as long as needed for business operations, record-keeping, and issue resolution.
If a user disconnects Pinterest from Gemba, any active Pinterest access credentials associated with that connection are removed from the application. Any Pinterest-derived operational data that is no longer needed for troubleshooting, audit, or record-keeping is deleted according to our retention process.
